Marriott Extended Stay Property Opens Next Door of the Forbidden City in Beijing
Marriott International announced the opening of The Imperial Mansion, Beijing - Marriott Executive Apartments, its fifth extended stay property in China.

Beijing—Marriott International announced the opening of The Imperial Mansion, Beijing – Marriott Executive Apartments, its fifth extended stay property in China. The 220 upscale accommodations are located in the center of the prestigious Wangfujing business and leisure district, within short walking distance of the Forbidden City, the world’s largest imperial palace.
“Designed for extended stay travelers, Marriott Executive Apartments offers the convenience of a five-star, full-service hotel with the space, ambience and privacy of residential living to enable a comfortable stay while living away from home,” said Simon Cooper, president and managing director of Marriott International Asia Pacific. “We are pleased that the popularity of the Marriott Executive Apartments brand in China continues to grow, and we are delighted to be opening this flagship apartment in Beijing with our great partner Beijing Tourism Group, in this iconic location.”
Beijing Tourism Group is one of China’s largest tourism service enterprises. It boasts a mature industrial chain that connects six major elements of tourism, including dining and cuisines, accommodation, transporting, touring, shopping and entertainment.
The one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments range in size from 688 to 2450 square feet and feature walk-in closets, professional workspace, full kitchens and 42-inch LED satellite televisions. Amenities offer a personalized concierge service, laundry service, a 24-hour fitness center, a spacious playroom for children, a heated indoor infinity pool with enviable views of the imperial palace and multifunctional meeting space. Guests will also be served a daily western and local delicacy gourmet breakfast at the residents lounge.
Marriott Executive Apartments provides world-class accommodations for guests on extended stays of 30 days or longer. The brand combines the comfort of residential living with the services of a Marriott hotel. Marriott International’s other extended stay properties in China include the 237-unit Shanghai Tomorrow Square Marriott Executive Apartments, the 223-unit Union Square, Shanghai Pudong Marriott Executive Apartments, the 96-unit The Lakeview, Tianjin- Marriott Executive Apartments and the 168-unit The Sandalwood, Beijing – Marriott Executive Apartments. The company’s sixth project in this part of the world is scheduled to open by 2013 in Shenzhen.
