Como, Italy—The Sheraton Como Hotel recently opened in northern Italy’s world famous lake region.
Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. has partnered with Grand Hotel di Como, Srl to develop the property, which results from a strategic conversion project led by renowned architect Ruggero Venelli.
The hotel is the first internationally branded upscale property to open in Como. It is located in proximity of Como’s historical center, which boasts as range of touristic attractions, including notable churches, museums, elegant architecture and fine dining. The property is also adjacent to the area’s prestigious Villa Erba Exhibition and Conference Centre.
Sheraton Lake Como features 116 guestrooms, including four suites, as well as a wide range of amenities. Guests here have access to a Sheraton Fitness Center, two outdoor swimming pools with a Jacuzzi, a private park, two restaurants and a bar. Three is also a significant amount of meeting space, including a large conference center with 10 modular rooms that can accommodate up to 1,000 guests.
Starwood Hotels & Resorts currently has a total of 24 hotels in Italy, representing five of its lifestyle brands: St. Regis, The Luxury Collection, Sheraton, Westin and Four Points by Sheraton. This includes eight Sheraton hotels located in renowned destinations such as Milan, Rome and Porto Cervo.
