Construction management firm Callahan Construction Managers, in partnership with A.W. Perry and Boston Andes Capital LLC, broke ground on Brio, the newest waterfront condominium community in Hingham, Mass. Designed by architects ART and BH+A with project management by c3, the 77-unit condo development is expected to be completed next year.
Located at 10 Shipyard Drive on 2.5 acres, Brio will be adjacent to a variety of restaurants and retail offerings, in addition to the MBTA commuter boat and bus line providing access to the Red Line in Quincy Center. Brio will feature 77 high-end one- and two-bedroom condominiums overlooking the marina, as well as 160 indoor and outdoor parking spaces for residents.
Site revival
The four-story, 160,000-square-foot Brio will breathe new life into the previously unoccupied northwest corner of the Hingham Shipyard. “With our previous experience in the construction of properties in the Hingham Shipyard, we’re thrilled to partner with A.W. Perry and BAC in delivering a high-end residential component to this thriving community. This project stands to revive a previously underutilized site and expand access to the waterfront,” said Callahan Construction Managers President Patrick Callahan, in a prepared statement.
