Washington, D.C.—There’s no place like HOLM, according to CAS Riegler, which has recently announced the opening of its latest HOLM Apartments development in Washington, D.C.

Located in the Logan Circle neighborhood, the project offers 38 luxury apartments and approximately 3,000 square feet of street-level retail space that will soon host a highly anticipated restaurant.

CAS Riegler built the four-story structure on one of the area’s last developable land parcels, formerly used by Diamond Cab.

Designed by Hickok Cole Architects, the new building at 1550 11th St., NW offers unique features including a rooftop penthouse structure with an open roof deck and catering kitchen. Each duplex penthouse residence has its own second-level studio space opening to a private roof deck area.

Almost all of HOLM’s one-, two- and three-bedroom apartment homes have private terraces or balconies, while residents of the English basement units will enjoy private entrances. Common area amenities include an access-controlled, below-grade parking garage with 14 spaces for cars and bicycle storage. The structure is covered by an extensive green roof. There is also an exterior architectural steel staircase with a “living wall,” and a private courtyard with more green space.

Interior amenities include spa-style bathrooms, custom built-in wardrobes and European frameless cabinetry, as well as kitchens with stainless steel appliances and Grohe faucets. Each residence is also pre-wired for FiOS fiber optic connectivity. Other high-tech features include in-wall USB outlets and Nest learning thermostats.

The new pet-friendly apartment community is located right across the street from the popular Shaw Dog Park, a 15,000-square-foot, fenced-in public park where dog owners can bring their pets and allow them to play and socialize off-leash. Adjacent to the dog park is a recreation center and children’s playground.

HOLM also provides pedestrian access to Metrorail, just four blocks away, and a variety of popular dining and entertainment destinations including Dacha Beer Garden, Thally, Seasonal Pantry, Sundevich, Table, Rogue 24, Baby Wale. Whole Foods is also three blocks away. Other nearby destinations include CrossFit Balance, VIDA Fitness, CVS, Giant at O Street Market, Trader Joe’s, Studio Theatre, Howard Theater, the 9:30 Club and the Black Cat.

Monthly rents start at $2,250 for one-bedroom apartments and $3,200 for two-bedroom units; penthouse apartments range from $4,200 (for a one-bedroom unit) to over $7,500 for a three-bedroom residence.

“CAS Riegler is dedicated to creating unique real estate products in urban infill locations with a specific focus on residents’ sophistication and use of their homes when living in urban locations,” said Adam Stifel, CAS Riegler principal. “HOLM’s sustainable, forward-thinking design will appeal to trend-setting residents who already live in the immediate area and want to stay, but are ready for a more refined design aesthetic and a location that allows them to take advantage of all the great neighborhood amenities without being surrounded by more than 200 other tenants.”
