After topping off a mixed-use community in Dallas last month, LMC topped off NordHaus, a luxury mixed-use community located in the heart of Northeast Minneapolis.

NordHaus is a 20-story community that features 280 apartments, including 12 penthouses, and 22,000 square feet of ground-floor retail and restaurant space.

Residents will have access to amenities such as an expansive club room with kitchen, state-of-the-art fitness center, outdoor, resort-level pool deck, cyber café with conference room and rooftop theatre. Additionally, NordHaus features a pet park with pet washing area, a video game room and bike lounges.

Located at 315 NE First Ave., the property is situated in the oldest neighborhood in Minneapolis. The site was initially developed in 1891 as a car barn by the Minneapolis Rapid Transit Street Railyard Co. and used to repair streetcars. The neighborhood features a mix of locally owned establishments including several craft beer pubs, the Yoga Sol Studio, Gorkha Palace, the Red Stag Supperclub and The Herbivorous Butcher restaurant.

“The process with this development was very unique, and we believe the backstory of the site will give NordHaus plenty of character,” Jon Fletcher, senior development manager for LMC, said in prepared remarks. “After working closely with the city, county and state to prepare the land for development, we’re ecstatic to have reached this development milestone and to begin building our initial resident base. We believe NordHaus will offer an unmatched living experience in the area.”
