LMC Breaks Ground on Washington Community
The company has started construction on a mixed-use property near Marymoor Park in Redmond.
LMC has broken ground on LMC Marymoor, a 450-unit community in Redmond, Wash. The property is scheduled to open in early 2022. Encore Architects is designing the project, while Weisman Design Group provides landscape architecture. The company paid $26.4 million for the land, a former industrial building used by businesses including Washington Hydraulic, for parking and equipment storage.
The three-building development will also feature roughly 37,000 square feet of retail space and will consist of a mix of studios, one-, two- and three-bedroom units ranging from 450 to 1,400 square feet. Common-area amenities will include an outdoor area with a swimming pool, hot tub, barbecue grills, cabanas, sports and lounging areas, as well as an expansive coworking lounge, fix-it lounge and bike repair area. Indoor amenities are set to include a sky lounge, rooftop deck with board room, game room, fitness center and pet-grooming room.
Located at 17609 NE 70th St., on 5 acres just northeast of Marymoor Park, the property will provide convenient access to SE Redmond Link Light Rail Station, a future rail station scheduled to open in 2024. The community will be close to various attractions, dog area and recreation fields including East Lake Sammamish Trail. Additionally, the rail station will provide access to the area’s large employees such as Amazon, Google, Facebook and SpaceX.
Earlier in February, LMC sold the $46.3 million Crest at Las Colinas Station in the Dallas suburb of Irving, Texas.
