Lennar Multifamily Communities broke ground on the high-rise development announced last year. The 27-story apartment community is known as Vireo, and is being built following designs by Smallwood Reynolds. Initial move-ins at the property are slated for spring 2019.
The property is located at 195 N.E. 13th St., just east of Peachtree St. Midtown Atlanta is currently experiencing a development boom, with increased demand for housing, and Vireo joins the list of many projects currently underway in the area.
Luxury amenities, cultural opportunities
Being located in one of the busiest areas of Midtown Atlanta, Vireo will offer its residents easy access to Fox Theater, Woodruff Arts Center, Piedmont Park, High Museum of Art, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, as well as the Atlanta Botanical Garden. LMC aims to encourage a more pedestrian lifestyle—the development will widen the sidewalks on 13th St. and include terrace-porches along the property. “Midtown is an eclectic market that features a little bit of everything. (…) We believe Vireo, with its instant access to the neighborhood and close proximity to Peachree Street, will provide an unmatched living experience,” said Chris Cassidy, division president of the Southeast for LMC, in a prepared statement.
The high-end apartment community’s unit mix consists of 307 studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments, ranging in size from 486 to 1,242 square feet. Among the many amenities offered to the residents are a courtyard plaza on the ground-level, while the rooftop will feature a swimming pool, cabanas, clubroom and outdoor lounge area. Apartment interiors will feature quartz countertops, tile backsplashes, stainless-steel appliances, and gas stoves. Residents of Vireo benefit from multiple transit options to key locations across Atlanta: two MARTA train stations are nearby, while I-75/85 offers access to Buckhead, downtown Atlanta, Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport and other areas of interest.
