LMC Breaks Ground in Boston

Leasing for the community will begin in late fall of 2024.

LMC, a subsidiary of Lennar Corp., has broken ground on Artemas, a mid-rise apartment community in the Boston suburb of Everett, Mass. This comes shortly after the company broke ground on its sister property, Harper, located in the neighborhood of Allston.

Artemas is set to offer 396 studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments, ranging from 561 to 1,481 square feet. Along with 1,500 square feet of retail space, the community will include a pool, fitness center, parking garage, work-from-home spaces, courtyards, and a club and pub room. Each apartment will feature stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops and vinyl wood flooring, with select apartments also including balconies and walk-in closets.

Located at 65 Norman St., Artemas is situated in the Fermentation District near local breweries and distilleries. Within walking distance, residents will also be in close proximity to several parks and playgrounds located along the Malden River. Venturing out of the area, Artemas is located north of downtown Boston and south of Medford and Revere Beach, each accessible by I-93.

“Everett is already a destination hub of entertainment, dining and nightlife opportunities, and quite simply a place where people want to be,” Dan Lee, New England region division president, LMC, told Multi-Housing News. “But Artemas residents will also have everything they need right at home, from modern, well-appointed apartments to a state-of-the-art suite of amenities and the on-site infrastructure to support a work-from-home lifestyle. The community was strategically designed as the ideal site to live, work and play.”

Boston’s tight rental market and ongoing housing shortage still remains, increasing the need for affordable options. Of the total apartments in Artemas, 59 will be designated as affordable. Leasing for Artemas is set to commence in late fall 2024, while leasing for Harper is beginning summer 2023.
