After launching leasing at Marisol earlier this week, LMC has begun leasing at Valdok, a luxury apartment community in Seattle’s neighborhood of Ballard. The first phase of the seven-story development has been completed and offers 178 units. Construction of phase two, which will include an additional 164 apartments, is already underway and scheduled for completion by 2019. Valdok comprises the two buildings, situated across from one another.

Located at 1701 NW 56th St., Valdok features one- and two-bedroom floorplans ranging from 485 to 1,206 square feet. Interiors include quartz countertops, high-end stainless steel appliances, oversized undermount sinks, full-size washer/dryers, 9-foot ceilings, lighted bathroom mirrors, full-tile backsplash, designer lighting, hardwood-style plank flooring, ceramic tile tub surrounds and under-cabinet lighting. Residents on the seventh floor will have voice-activated control over several home features through Amazon’s Alexa, making the community one of the first in Seattle to offer these features. These technologies include Ruckus Router, a Lutron Pico Remote for dimming lights and controlling smart home speakers, Lutron roller shades and an Amazon Echo built into a Sonos Play: 1. Common area amenities include:

  • clubhouse
  • full kitchen
  • gaming area
  • coworking spaces with state-of-the-art technology
  • 24-hour fitness center
  • pet park
  • dog wash and grooming stations
  • rooftop deck
  • fireplaces
  • barbecue grills
  • outdoor lounge areas
  • 24-hour package service
  • bike storage

Booming neighborhood

“The Ballard neighborhood is always bustling with an extremely active vibe and is the ideal backdrop for a vintage Seattle experience,” said Brad Reisinger, division president of the Pacific Northwest for LMC, in a prepared statement. “We’re excited to add to our presence in the area with Valdok, which we believe will serve as a top-tier living option with its spacious layouts, cozy ambiance and suite of smart-home features.”

Valdok is located within close proximity to Ballard Bridge and 15th Avenue NW, which offers access to downtown, South Lake Union and other key employment centers. Ballard also has five bus routes from the King County Metro that run through it, in addition to the 20-mile Burke-Gilman Trail that serves as a transportation corridor for commuters.

Nearby attractions include Ballard Locks, Golden Gardens Park, the Nordic Museum, Bergen Place Park, 17th of May Festival, Larsen’s Danish Bakery and Ballard Farmers Market. Dining options include Asadero Ballard, No Bones Beach Club, The Walrus and the Carpenter and San Fermo.
