LeCesse Development Corp. has completed the second development phase of GrandeVille at Malta in Malta, N.Y., near Albany. Located at 1 Landau Blvd., Phase II includes 189 luxury apartments featuring an array of one- to three-bedroom apartments.
The selection includes six carriage house and townhouses, as well as five three-story elevator-served apartment buildings with climate- and access-controlled corridors. Some residences feature direct entry garages. Among the features and finishes of the apartments are nine-foot-high ceilings, digital locks in all units, custom wood cabinetry, large walk-in closets and in-unit washers and dryers. The selection of amenities includes a clubhouse with an indoor pool, fitness center and game room.
GrandVille at Malta Phase II launched construction in July 2022.
Easy access
Situated about 20 minutes from Albany, GrandVille at Malta is also a short drive from Saratoga Springs. The nearby Albany-Saratoga Speedway is a high stakes dirt track staging stock car races. Three shopping centers are located within a less-than-15-minute walk or less than a mile drive.
Among the job centers in the area are GlobalFoundries’ $15 billion campus. The Biden administration recently announced $3.1 billion in federal financial support for GlobalFoundries to construct a second Malta factory and provide existing facilities with enhancements. The impact of these financial infusions is expected to be dramatic, resulting in an anticipated addition of about 1,500 manufacturing sector jobs over the coming decade.
Malta is bordered on the east by Saratoga Lake. Once overwhelmingly a single-family home community, Malta has, in recent years, welcomed a number of luxury apartment communities and townhomes. Last month, NRP Group broke ground on an affordable apartment community in Bethlehem, N.Y., near Albany.
