Another multifamily community that features a sky bridge is coming soon to Fort Worth, Texas. Lang Partners and KWA Construction has topped out The Cooper, a 390-unit multifamily community, with an expected completion in fall 2020. The construction company broke ground on the project in April 2019.

Located at 1001 W. Rosedale St., The Cooper was built on two separate city blocks between West Rosedale and West Oleander Streets and is connected by a sky bridge on the third and fourth floors situated above Washington Avenue. The 386,124-square-foot community’s sky bridge will house the townhome and one-bedroom apartments, but The Cooper will offer studios, one-, two- and three-bedroom units with townhome and mezzanine options. The two five-story buildings’ amenities include a clubhouse, pool, fitness center and six-story parking garage.

The project is being developed by Lang Partners while GFF designed The Cooper. Brian Webster, KWA’s president, said in prepared remarks that The Cooper is located near one of Fort Worth’s most important employment districts and that these apartments will be ideal for those working in the area.

A SERIES OF SKY BRIDGES

Webster also added in his prepared remarks that KWA previously worked with Lang Partners on phase one of another Fort Worth multifamily project, The Monarch. Similar to The Cooper, The Monarch offers 327 units through two five-story buildings connected by a sky bridge and was completed in 2018.

In a project without sky bridges, KWA also recently topped out a multifamily community called Kilby in the Dallas suburb of Frisco, Texas. KWA is building the 258-unit four-story property for developer Toll Brothers.
