By Anuradha Kher, Online News EditorAlexandria, Va.–Kettler, one of greater Washington D.C.’s largest real estate development and property management companies, has been chosen to manage a new mid-rise apartment community called Monarch, located in Alexandria, Va.The 168-unit building, with rents ranging from $1,675 to $4,100, began leasing in January 2008. Monarch features apartments, penthouses and lofts with street-level retail shops, a salon and spa, a restaurant and a drycleaner. Monarch covers an entire city block, bordered by North Henry Street, Oronoco Street, Pendleton Street and North Fayette Street. The community is three blocks away from the Braddock Road Metro station and four blocks north of King Street. Residents have easy access to Pentagon City and Crystal City via the George Washington Parkway.Kettler will be responsible for preventative maintenance and building repairs as well as operations and owner communication.“Our company excels at new property lease-ups, especially at a building like Monarch with an excellent location convenient to transportation and has great resident amenities,” says Cindy Clare, president of Kettler Management.Building amenities include a 24-hour concierge, garage parking, club room with billiards and demonstration kitchen, and sports and fitness club. Sabine Dissaux, a New York-based interior designer who specializes in boutique residential design, oversaw the interior décor of the building.Kettler Management has over 10,000 apartment homes in its rental portfolio throughout the greater Washington D.C. area.
