San Antonio—KB Home continues its expansion in San Antonio with the acquisition of a 75-acre plot along the Highway 211 corridor near Potranco Road in far Northwest Bexar County. Further details of the transaction were undisclosed.
The homebuilder plans to construct 234 homes at Texas Research Park and land development is currently underway, with the community’s grand opening scheduled for early 2017. The Hidden Canyons at TRP neighborhood will be the first residential community in Texas Research Park and KB Home’s first new development in San Antonio’s far Northwest since 2013.
“With picturesque ranchland that is home to deer, birds and native wildflowers, families are going to love this new community when it opens,” said Brett Dietz, president of KB Home’s San Antonio division. “We plan to build two model parks, Hidden Canyons and Hidden Bluffs, which will highlight our energy-efficient home designs and showcase both the attractiveness and value today’s families demand in their new homes.”
Hidden Canyons at TRP will include two home design collections ranging in size from 1,516 square feet to 3,475 square feet. Planned amenities include a community park with a pool, a picnic pavilion and a children’s playground for residents’ exclusive use. Residents will also benefit from the public hiking trails at Texas Research Park and attend the events at the newly renovated Golf Club of Texas.
