JVM Starts Renovations on Kansas City Communities

The upgrades include revamped clubhouses and common areas. Apartment units will also be improved over the next couple of years.

JVM Realty Corp. is starting renovations at three of its apartment communities in metro Kansas City, Mo.: Eastland Trails in Independence, Mo., Clear Creek in Overland Park, Kan., and New Longview in Lee’s Summit, Mo.

Eastland Trails, located at 4631 S. Eastland Center Drive, features 240 units comprising one-, two- and three-bedroom floorplans ranging from 691 to 1,353 square feet. Apartment features include nine or 12-foot vaulted ceilings, USB charging ports in the kitchens, new vinyl-plank flooring, refinished cabinet fronts and drawers, brushed nickel lighting packages and ceiling fans, full-size washer/dryers, private balcony/patios and outside storage. Residents have access to amenities such as access to Little Blue Trace Trail, a redesigned business center, a saltwater swimming pool with an epoxy stone pool deck, a repainted fitness center, volleyball court, spa and 500 parking spaces.

The 288-unit Clear Creek, located at 13590 Earnshaw St., was originally built in 2006 and is 98.6 percent occupied. The community houses one-, two- and three-bedroom floorplans across its 11, three-story buildings. Unit sizes range from 683 to 1,264 square feet. In-unit features include nine-foot ceilings with crown molding in the living rooms, fireplaces, the addition of stainless steel appliances and glass tile backsplashes in the kitchens, full-size washer/dryers, private balcony/patios and outside storage. Community amenities include landscaped grounds with a natural creek, swimming pool with a waterfall and poolside barbecue, Wi-Fi in all communal areas, pet-friendly amenities, poolside barbecue area, state-of-the-art 24-hour fitness center, a business center, volleyball court, a new media room, bar-top tables and shuffleboard, on-site car care center and 365 parking spaces.

New Longview, located at 460 S.W. Longview Blvd., will feature 206 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments with square footage ranging from 765 to 1,283. In-unit features include full-size washer/dryers, fireplaces, balcony/patios, soaking tubs and lake views. Apartment upgrades will include quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances and new carpeting. The amenity package consists of a new bar area for residents, a revamped business center with a 24-hour electronic package locker system, an expanded 24-hour fitness center with new equipment, detached garages, swimming pool and sundeck, poolside barbecue area, community club center with Wi-Fi and 400 parking spaces.

Revamped clubhouses and common-area improvements were completed at Eastland Trails and Clear Creek in March and April, respectively, and are slated to be finished at New Longview in May. Improvements to the apartment homes will be carried out over the next couple of years at each community.
