Edmonton, Alberta—Just Energy, a North American retailer of natural gas, electricity and green energy, has donated $10,000 to The Mustard Seed Edmonton, an inner city social services agency. The funds will go towards covering the natural gas supply cost of a newly renovated residential building that houses some of the community’s formerly homeless.

In addition to helping cover utility expenses, Just Energy will donate a number of energy conservation kits to be used to retrofit each apartment with energy efficient products to help reduce residents’ future energy costs.

Previous Just Energy donations to The Mustard Seed Edmonton contributed to the organization’s ability to purchase a high efficiency boiler for their century old building. These donations are part of Just Energy’s Fund for Warmth program, which support community-based initiatives that help those in need of heating assistance.
