Jones Lang LaSalle Launches Hong Kong Luxury Serviced Apartments
Jones Lang LaSalle has announced the launch of Hong Kong’s newest luxury residences.

Hong Kong—Jones Lang LaSalle has announced the launch of Hong Kong’s newest luxury residences. Dubbed Skyla Serviced Apartments, the 42-unit luxury property was launched with a cocktail reception, followed by an exclusive preview hosted by Jones Lang LaSalle, the development’s exclusive leasing agent and sole property manager.
The project, developed by Hong Kong-based Thousand World Limited, a private company limited by shares, features 42 well-appointed serviced residences, comprised of 34 studio apartments and eight one-bedroom duplexes. Residences feature a minimalistic décor with subtle accents of luxury. All units are outfitted with general appliances, washing machine, refrigerator, in-room security safe, L’Occitane toiletries, bed linens and towels, as well as entertainment equipment such as HD television sets, Blu-ray players and miscellaneous necessity items, such as a range of crockery, glassware, tableware and utensils. Every apartment includes a private wood-decked veranda and balcony, with the upper floors offering sweeping sews views. Duplexes also feature spacious walk-in closets.
Community amenities include a full-service gym, additional storage lockers, garden terrace with barbecue facilities, SkyGarden Playroom garden terrace, 24-hour security including CCTV security system and high-security contactless smart cards. Further Skyla amenities include 100 MB individual broadband and smart Cisco local phones and housekeeping three times a week.
Studio units feature a gross area of 596 or 616 square feet (390 or 403 saleable area) with monthly rents starting at HK$19,500 (approximately US$2,500). Duplexes range between 1,178 – 1,201 square feet of gross leasable area (773 or 787 square feet of saleable area), with monthly rents starting at HK$56,000 (circa US$7,200). Month by-month lease contracts are also an option at the property already 20 percent leased upon official launching. “We anticipate enthusiastic response from the market upon the official launch today, due to the increased demand for luxury services apartment amongst young executives and expatiates” National Director of Residential Leasing and Relocation Services of Jones Lang LaSalle Hong Kong Mandy Wong says.
Skyla Serviced Apartments with its 32 Sands Street address is located in the historic Kennedy Town, in Hong Kong’s Western District. It is located in close proximity to Cyberport, a leading information and communications technology hub in the Asia-Pacific region, as well as the University of Hong Kong and several parks and recreation grounds. Skyla is within walking distance of 24-hour convenience stores, banks, restaurants and various retail options, as well as Hong Kong’s high-tech public transportation, with the Kennedy Town MTR Station set to open in 2014 just a few steps from the property.
