JCI Senior Housing to Develop Techridge Oaks Assisted Living and Memory Care
JCI Senior Housing will develop a new assisted living and memory care community in Austin, with Civitas Senior Living as property manager.

Legacy Oaks Assisted Living and Memory Care in South Austin
Austin, Texas—JCI Senior Housing, an affiliate of the Journeyman Group, announced plans to start construction on Techridge Oaks, an assisted living and memory care community in Austin.
JCI Senior Housing partnered with Civitas Senior Living LLC for the development and management of the property. Civitas will assume management responsibilities for the community, under the direction of President & CEO Wayne Powell and Vice President of clinical services Misti Powell.
“Civitas is excited to become a member of the North Austin community—I feel our company provides a high quality of service that comes from a locally owned company,” Wayne Powell said in a statement.
The community will be located at 400 East Yager Lane in northeast Austin. Plans for the new community include 66 assisted living apartments and 20 private and companion memory care units. Amenities at Techridge Oaks feature a theater, therapy gym and landscaped courtyards.
Civitas Senior Living also operates Ledgestone Senior Living (scheduled to open in the summer of 2016) in Dripping Springs and Legacy Oaks Assisted Living and Memory Care in South Austin.
