Husqvarna Designs AI-Enabled Robotic Mower
The Automower 435X AWD is fully autonomous and manages rough terrain and steep slopes. It includes remote and voice command and has built-in safety features.
Husqvarna, a global producer of outdoor power products, has introduced the Automower 435X AWD, an AI-enabled robotic mower with all-wheel drive and smart home connectivity. The fully autonomous lawn mower has a pivoting rear body and is designed to manage rough terrain and slopes with an incline of up to 70 percent.
The product works with Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and provides an open API for smart home integration. Advanced users can design their own program for the robotic mower. Start, stop and park commands, settings adjustments, as well as alarms and position tracking can be checked and carried out using a smartphone.
The Automower 435X AWD has a built-in safety feature that automatically stops the mower if it is lifted up or turned over. Using object detection, the mower reduces its speed as soon as it senses a nearby object and, together with a front rubber bumper, ensures a soft impact when it comes in contact with an object.
Further features include an onboard GPS system which creates a map of the garden, registers which parts of the garden it has covered and adjusts its mowing pattern accordingly. When it needs more power, it finds its own way back to the charging station. The product is weatherproof and is designed to function properly and unattended regardless of meteorological conditions.
