New York—Sales have begun at 212 Fifth Avenue, the highly anticipated luxury condominium conversion in Manhattan’s Madison Park enclave. The announcement of the beginning of sales at the 103-year-old tower was made by the Madison Equities-led partnership that owns 212 Fifth Avenue. The property is represented by TOWN New Development.

Built on the northwest corner of Madison Square Park at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and 26th Street when Madison Square was the city‘s most exclusive neighborhood, the 24-story 212 Fifth Avenue delivers awesome views from its abundant, super-sized windows. Its 48 ultra-high-end residences are divided into a mix of two- to four-bedroom residences, among them a triplex penthouse.

“The natural proportions of 212 Fifth Avenue allowed us to craft residences that blend historic pre-war architecture and construction quality with the most modern finishes, technology and amenities to create a singular product that melds the best of both old- and new-world offerings,” Madison Equities CEO Robert Gladstone said. “Residences at the property boast high ceilings and large windows, allowing for dimensions that are not possible in new construction. 212 Fifth Avenue is a classic building, quite different from the new, larger-scale glass towers under development. Its quality design, paired with move-in ready residences in spring 2016 makes the product unique in this market.”

The developer’s creation of elegant, space- and light-filled residences at 212 Fifth Avenue was enabled by the original column-free construction of the building. Each residence was individually designed by acclaimed Pembrooke & Ives interior design giant Andrew Sheinman, who imbued the spaces with grand foyers featuring book matched marble floors; loft-like, open layouts, high ceilings; and Chevron-pattern oak hardwood flooring throughout each residence.

Interiors of residences feature gourmet kitchens with Calacatta Gold marble countertops, custom ash-milled wood cabinets, Gaggenau appliances that include a five-burner cook top and speed oven and 43-bottle wine refrigerator. Master baths offer Thassos marble mosaic flooring, lavish free-standing Corian Lacava bathtubs and Sycamore vanity cabinets. Some offer steam showers.

Luxury amenities catering to residents’ tastes for leisure-time activities spread across an entire floor of the sophisticated building. Included is a lounge with catering kitchen, sumptuous screening room, upscale boardroom, children’s playroom and game room. A state-of-the-art fitness center, studio space for Pilates and yoga, golf simulator and private treatment room are also featured.

“TOWN New Development is thrilled to bring this special offering to the market,” said TOWN New Development managing director Shlomi Reuveni.

“The residences at 212 Fifth Avenue are unlike anything available in New York today and will resonate with many buyers. The allure of 212 Fifth Avenue is only further enhanced by the building’s prime location at the nexus of uptown and downtown. [That makes] it easy for owners to enjoy all that New York has to offer.”
