High-End Housing Debuts Near U of Illinois Campus

Bainbridge Cos. and an affiliate of Blue Vista Capital Management teamed on the 181-unit project in Urbana, Ill.

Urbana, Ill.—McShane Construction recently completed a 524-bed student housing community adjacent to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign campus. The new development, dubbed  Campus Circle, is owned by a joint venture of  the Bainbridge Cos. and an affiliate of Blue Vista Capital Management.

Located at 1010 West University Ave. in Urbana, Ill., the 276,000-square-foot, five-story facility features 181 units with one-, two- and four-bedroom floor plans. The project includes 2,000 square feet of retail space on the ground floor and an adjacent five-story, 101,000-square-foot controlled-access parking garage accommodating up to 291 vehicles.

Amenities at Campus Circle include a two-story club room with a communal kitchen, arcade games in two separate rooms equipped with the latest digital-gaming consoles, tanning bed facilities, a theater, 20 private study rooms and a two-story fitness center.

Charlan Brock & Associates Inc. was the architect for Campus Circle, which is being managed by Peak Campus.
