Harbor Group Relaunches Dallas’ Manor House

Following extensive upgrades, the 25-story property has a new look. Covington Hendrix Anderson Architects was in charge of the extensive interior and exterior makeover.

Harbor Group Management, an affiliate of Harbor Group International, has relaunched the 275-unit Manor House in Dallas. Covington Hendrix Anderson Architects performed an extensive capital improvement program at the 25-story building. According to Yardi Matrix data, Harbor Group International purchased the asset in November 2018 from Buchanan Street Partners using a $25.9 million CMBS loan originated by CBRE Capital Markets.

Located at 1222 Commerce St. in downtown Dallas, Manor House is within walking distance of several parks and museums, and provides convenient access to trains and buses traveling throughout the metropolitan area. The building includes studios, one- and two-bedroom units, averaging 823 square feet, per Yardi Matrix.

Back in 1966, when it was built, the property was the first residential high-rise in the area featuring a rooftop pool. Today, following the rebranding, Manor House features a penthouse clubroom with a business office area, a kitchenette, a game room and lounge areas. The updates brought the property’s occupancy close to 90 percent.

Harbor Group has been busy in Texas. In May, the company purchased The Arrabella, a 232-unit property in Houston using a $39.6 million Freddie Mac loan.
