New York—Julia Boland of The Boland Team at Halstead Property, a New York-based multifamily brokerage firm, has debuted One212, the first iPad app developed by a broker. Boland, who is senior vice president at Halstead, created the app to allow people to view New York real estate using a broker’s point of view.
One212 explores New York City properties, provides insights into renovations, and answer questions from the Boland Team on the real estate market. The interface allows users to scroll through the magazine and select listings to view their layouts. It is updated on a quarterly basis.
When creating this app, Boland took inspiration from her clients searching for real estate in the city.
“One of the motivations for developing the app came from a need to help people moving across the country come buy an apartment for children attending university in NYC,” Boland tells MHN.
Boland takes a personal approach to the app, allowing readers to see first hand the renovation on her Harlem townhouse.
“We are so excited to introduce One212, the first app created by a real estate team,” Boland says. “Each member of The Boland Team adds their own unique perspective to the residential real estate market and brings something special to the magazine. We are devoted to sharing information to help buyers and sellers understand the intricacies of Manhattan real estate.”
