Grosvenor Launches Pre-Leasing at DC-Area Community
Central is a 231,589-square-foot mixed-use development site that will offer 243 residential rental units above 15,080 square feet of ground-floor retail space.

Grosvenor Americas started pre-leasing apartments in their Central community located in downtown Silver Spring, Md. Bozzuto Management Co. received management and leasing assignment for the new apartment community.
Located at 8455 Fenton St., the 231,589-square-foot LEED Silver certified mixed-use property is expected to be fully completed by the end of the summer. The development site will offer 243 residential rental units above 15,080 square feet of ground-floor retail space.
“The diverse retail that we’re planning will be a draw to those who prefer an urban lifestyle. As downtown Silver Spring continues to evolve into a bustling hub for restaurants, retail, and entertainment, this area has the potential to be high in demand within the Washington Metropolitan region, and we want to offer residents a home that will allow them to fully enjoy the neighborhood in which they live,” Nihar Shah, senior development manager for Grosvenor, said in prepared remarks.
Amenity-rich living
Central consists of a mix of studio, one- and two-bedroom floorplans, finished in a contemporary design. Each unit features kitchens with quartz countertops, ENERGY STAR stainless steel appliances and full-size washers and dryers. Community amenities include an outdoor pool with sundeck, a 24-hour fitness center and a yoga studio. Central is located close to the Metro Station which provides a 15 minute commute to downtown D.C.
