Greystar & Ivanhoé Cambridge Break Ground in San Francisco
Greystar and Ivanhoé Cambridge announced the ground breaking of 2198 Market Street, a new mixed-use development in San Francisco.

San Francisco—Greystar and Ivanhoé Cambridge announced the ground breaking of 2198 Market Street, a new mixed-use development in San Francisco. The groundbreaking ceremony is to take place at the site location near the the six-way intersection of Market Street, Sanchez Street and 15th Street.
“The development will contribute to the ongoing transformation of Upper Market Street and Castro District,” said Ali Warner, managing director of development for Greystar. “We are excited to announce that construction is underway on 2198 Market Street. The community will appeal to residents looking for a convenient, urban lifestyle in a fantastic San Francisco neighborhood.”
The collaborative project will feature 87 high-quality apartment homes and 5,000 square feet of retail space to cater to a variety of residents. Located on Market Street and Sanchez Street, the property will offer a mix of one- and two- bedroom floor plans that range from 538 to 1,322 square feet. Apartment kitchens will feature stainless steel appliances, custom kitchen islands and quartz counter tops with under mount sinks. Additionally, the interior will include pendant lighting, solid-surface flooring and ceramic tile in baths.
In addition to the ground-floor retail space, amenities will include a spacious rooftop terrace with hot tub, sun deck, fire pit, grilling stations and patio dining. Other amenities that will be available for residents are to include a bistro lounge, bike storage and underground parking.
With its convenient location, residents will have access to the Church Street Muni Metro and Bart. Additionally, this building will be within a 10 minute commute to downtown and is a short walk to parks, schools and restaurants.
