Düsseldorf, Germany–formart GmbH & Co. KG celebrated the topping out of its new residential development situated in the government district of Düsseldorf.
Called NeMo, the project features 84 apartments, four townhouses and two commercial units. It has been built on an empty lot between two streets – Neusser Strasse and Moselstrasse – which also inspired its name.
By the time it opens in early 2016, NeMo will include a mix of two to five-room apartments with balconies, terraces or loggias, ranging in size from about 592 square feet (55 square meters) to 2550 square feet (237 square meters). So far, about half of these units have already been sold, with prices starting at $324,000 (€290,000).
All of the buildings within the NeMo community have been designed to meet the demanding KfW-70 energy efficiency standard. The apartments will feature high-end flooring, underfloor heating, tiling and sanitary elements. There will also be 175 parking spaces in an underground garage.
Upon completion, the new community will offer residents views of the parliament building and the attractively landscaped Rheinpark. According to Düsseldorf’s Director of Planning, Construction and Property, Dr. Gregor Bonin, the project integrates well into the existing urban setting.
“The new residential quarter doesn’t isolate itself; its internal area is designed to be accessible. It will enrich the parliament embankment and be a bridge between the harbor and Altstadt,” Bonin said.
formart develops, builds and markets residential and parking garage projects in Germany, Austria and Luxembourg. With more than 1,000 properties sold annually to private users and institutional investors, formart is one of the leading residential developers in its home market.
