FS Energy Adds New Director of Information
FS Energy, an independent provider of comprehensive energy solutions for multifamily residential properties, and a subsidiary of FirstService Corporation, has hired Aaron Mehta as director of energy information.
New York—FS Energy, an independent provider of comprehensive energy solutions for multifamily residential properties, and a subsidiary of FirstService Corporation, has hired Aaron Mehta as director of energy information. Mehta, who has an extensive background in business process analysis and computer systems, is responsible for managing the information assets of FS Energy. He will be implementing best practices to expand the company’s reach beyond New York City to a national audience.
FS Energy, which serves as the exclusive energy management partner for residential properties managed by Cooper Square Realty, aims to reduce energy costs and the carbon footprint of its New York City portfolio by 25 percent by 2013. The result would be more than $30 million in savings and a reduction of carbon emissions by 111,000 metric tons. This is equivalent to taking 110 building offline or removing 21,600 cars from the road. Cooper Square Realty manages more than 500 condominiums, cooperatives and rental properties throughout New York City.
As the leader for the data team, Mehta will utilize new technology to identify trends and opportunities for improvement through FSdata, the company’s proprietary benchmarking database. FSdata houses historical energy usage, cost, and typology information for all buildings in the Cooper Square Realty management portfolio. Through in-depth analysis, he will leverage this data to further differentiate the services provided by FS Energy to our current clients and new market opportunities.
