Norfolk, Va.-- ForRent.com has introduced Walk Score, where renters will now be able to measure the walkability of a neighborhood when searching for apartments.
Norfolk, Va.– ForRent.com has introduced Walk Score, where renters will now be able to measure the walkability of a neighborhood when searching for apartments.
The site’s algorithm awards points based on the distance to amenities in categories that include restaurants, groceries, shopping, coffee shops, schools, bars and public transportation. No points are awarded for amenities farther than one mile away. The points are summed and normalized to yield a score from 0 to 100.
