Wayfinder Real Estate, a recently founded Austin-based firm, has broken ground on its first development, one mile north of downtown Austin. The asset is dubbed The Troubadour and will total 321 units within the University Park master-planned community.

The six-story project will occupy a 2.3-acre site at 3402 Harmon Ave., at the southwest corner of Concordia Avenue and Interstate 35. Upon completion, slated for late 2021, it will comprise one- to three-bedroom units averaging 750 square feet, all facing away from Interstate 35. Common-area amenities will include a swimming pool, a 24-hour fitness center, an indoor bike storage and maintenance facility, two rooftop decks of which one will be equipped for outdoor movie screenings, and 376 parking spaces.

The project’s development team consists of general contractor Oden Hughes Construction, architect Davies Collaborative, civil engineer Jones Carter, structural engineer C|P|H Structural Engineering, interior designer PPDS, landscape architect Blu Fish Collaborative and lender Vantage Bank.

The Troubadour is a component of a mixed-use development planned for the 22-acre former Concordia University campus. Also part of the project is Aura Thirty2, a five-story, 379-unit community residential project owned by Trinsic Residential Group, anticipated to open in the third quarter of 2020.
