Flournoy to Expand South Carolina Footprint
The community is scheduled for completion in 2027.
Flournoy Development Group is working on Tanner Road, a 461-unit community in Greenville, S.C. The project is now underway and is scheduled to come online in March 2027.
The company tapped McShane Construction Co. as general contractor, while Dynamic Design serves as architect. Flournoy will also be the property manager.
The community is rising on 21 acres at the intersection of Tanner Road and Verdin Road, close to a host of dining and retail options. Downtown Greenville, as well as the Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport are each within 8 miles away.

The development will consist of five four-story apartment buildings with 13 retail spaces, 12 townhomes and three carriage home buildings. The unit mix will feature one- to three-bedroom floorplans.
Common-area amenities are set to include a grab-and-go market, fitness and wellness center, hobby room, dog park and spa. Additionally, the community will have a swimming pool with courtyard, outdoor grilling and entertainment areas.
Flournoy’s development portfolio
Flournoy Development Groups’ multifamily development portfolio consists of 230 communities valued at more than $4 billion. These properties encompass almost 35,740 units.
Recently, a joint venture between Flournoy and JR West started construction on Ellison Nona, a 377-unit multifamily project in Orlando, Fla. The development is scheduled to come online in 2027 as well.
Last month, the firm completed Ellison Mallard Creek, a 341-unit community in Charlotte, N.C. The developer took out a $59.6 million construction loan for the property in 2021.
Flournoy has also previously partnered with McShane for other projects. The duo is currently working on another multifamily development in Greenville, dubbed District Eastside. The 262-unit community will encompass five four-story buildings and is expected to come online later this year.
