Fifield Tops Off, Starts Preleasing Chicago Luxury Tower
The luxury community, which the developers say is "the first of its kind on the Gold Coast in more than 40 years," will be open to residents in the summer of 2017.
Chicago—Fifield Realty Corp. topped off and started preleasing for The Sinclair Apartments luxury tower, located at 1201 N. LaSalle Blvd. in Chicago’s Gold Coast neighborhood.
“The feedback from the community on this development has been incredibly positive. The Sinclair will bring hundreds of new residents to the Gold Coast and they will be people of all ages who have been eager to rent in a new, luxury building in this beautiful neighborhood that sits so close to the Loop and Lake Michigan,” Randy Fifield, chairwoman of Fifield Realty Corp., told Multi-Housing News. “They will shop, dine and entertain their family and friends in the neighborhood and at The Sinclair and their presence in the community will add to its vibrancy and its future economic success.”
The 35-story, 390-unit tower will offer studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom floorplans along with four-bedroom penthouses, ranging from 500 to 2,600 square feet. Interior features include plank flooring, quartz countertops, Grohe Concetto faucets, frameless glass shower doors, Mick De Giulio-inspired kitchens with maple-finish soft-close cabinets, marble porcelain backsplash, GE stainless steel appliances, Nest thermostats, nine- to 11-foot ceilings, oversized windows, private balconies and walk-in closets. Residents will have access to amenities such as alfresco dining, a state-of-the-art fitness club with separate yoga and physical therapy studios, a screening room, resident lounge with kitchen, business center and conference room, coffee bar, bicycle storage and workstation, 24-hour concierge, secured-access parking garage and a 35,000-square-foot deck which includes an outdoor pool, spa and sun terrace, cabanas, fire pit, grilling stations and a dog run. Adjacent to the building’s ground level will be a 58,000-square-foot flagship Jewel-Osco, which residents will also have access to through a sky bridge.
“We approached this project with the goal of revitalizing the most underutilized parcel of land in the Gold Coast, which is just steps away from the CTA red line station at Clark & Division,” Steve Fifield, chairman of Fifield Cos., told Multi-Housing News. “We saw an opportunity to work with Jewel to help them turn a small, existing store into a flagship grocery befitting of this world-class neighborhood and its wonderful residents, and to build adjacent to it a highly-amenitized, new construction luxury rental tower—the first of its kind in the Gold Coast in more than 40 years.”
Construction of the property, designed by Solomon Cordwell Buenz, with McHugh Construction as the contractor, began in December 2015. The development will now enter exterior build-out. First move-ins are scheduled for August 2017.
