London, England—Tech giant Facebook Inc. is expanding its presence in London’s West End, adding 60,000 square feet of space to its existing 87,000-square-foot offices in British Land Co.’s Regent’s Place campus. Facebook will now occupy the building’s fifth floor, floors nine through 16, as well as a ground floor events space.
James Danby, British Land’s head of office leasing, said that “while the area’s connectivity and the quality of the office space are of course significant factors, our work to make Regent’s Place a vibrant destination in its own right has been crucial in attracting high caliber media and technology businesses, of which Facebook is unquestionably one.”
Located at 338 Euston Road between Baker St. and Euston stations in central London, British Land’s Regent’s Place mixed-use campus incorporates 112,000 square feet of Class A office space across 17 floors. According to Property Mall, the building is home to 45 companies from various industries, as well as The Triton Building – a 26-story tower featuring 94 apartment units.
Facebook recently revealed plans to expand its offices in Menlo Park, California, with a 985,719-square-foot addition designed by Frank Gehry.
