New York—The newest New York condominium project from developer Elad Group, 22 Central Park South, has commenced sales. Situated right next door to the famed Plaza Hotel, the landmarked, pre-war building overlooking Central Park features six full-floor homes and a sprawling duplex penthouse.

Notes Samantha Sax, director of sales and marketing for Elad Group: “22 Central Park South is simply exquisite with lavishly designed residences that offer comfort, privacy and security. Located in the very epicenter of Manhattan with the city’s most exciting offerings quickly within reach, this intimate building affords incredible luxury and impeccable services, all set against the stunning backdrop of Central Park.”

Each of the half dozen full-floor residences is more than 2,000 square feet in size and offers two bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms, with walnut herringbone wood flooring throughout the foyer, living room and dining room.

An expansive 2,943-square-foot duplex penthouse fills the top two floors, offering three private outdoor terraces that together total 909 square feet.

“We take great pride in working with historic properties, restoring them to their original grandeur and elevating them to the height of modern luxury,” remarks Udi Erez, Elad Group CEO, adding 22 Central Park South “is a truly coveted address. We’re thrilled to unveil these incredibly special homes to the market.”

Central Park views are offered in every living room, and each also features a full wall, custom-built walnut bookcase surrounding a decorative fireplace. Stainless steel appliances and wine storage by Miele and Carrara marble backsplashes and countertops are among the luxury features of the kitchens. Master bathrooms are distinguished by custom six-foot Signature Catalina soaking tubs, separate glass-enclosed showers and Sicis Italian mosaic tile flooring.

“We expect a variety of buyers, both locally and internationally based, will be intrigued by this rare gem,” says Lisa Lippman of Brown Harris Stevens, which has been retained as the exclusive sales and marketing team. “Interest has been building since early on in the development of this project, as its prime location elicits incredible demand.”

Many of the city’s greatest dining and shopping venues and cultural institutions are in close proximity to 22 Central Park South. They include The Shops at Columbus Circle, the Time Warner Center, Lincoln Center, The Plaza Food Hall, Barney’s, The Shops at The Plaza and Fifth Avenue’s retail setting, with the acclaimed Bergdorf Goodman among its best-known stores. Residents of 22 Central Park South will also be able to access the lavish suite of health and beauty amenities directly next door at The Plaza Hotel.

Residences are priced from $6.7 million through $26.5 million for the penthouse. The 22 Central Park South sales gallery is found at Brown Harris Stevens’ 1926 Broadway office.
