DoubleTree by Hilton Opens Second Location in Romania

Oradea, Romania—International hotel brand DoubleTree by Hilton has announced the opening of DoubleTree by Hilton Oradea, the second location of the brand in the Eastern-European country of Romania.

“Growing our presence in Eastern Europe has been a major focus for Hilton Worldwide and I am delighted that we have added a second hotel to our DoubleTree by Hilton portfolio in Romania. Travelers visiting Oradea will now be able to enjoy a warm DoubleTree by Hilton welcome (…), as well as the significant benefits of staying within the Hilton Worldwide portfolio,” Simon Vincent, president, EMEA, Hilton Worldwide, said in a press statement.

The 147-key newly built Hilton is located in the historic city of Oradea. The full service upscale hotel has a modern décor and premier amenities, such as an indoor pool, whirlpool, a 24-hour Precor fitness center, spa at DoubleTree spa, a fully equipped business center, four meeting rooms and the 350-guest Varadinium Ballroom. The spa is Romania’s first eforea and features seven treatment rooms with private showers, a relaxing transition lounge, a spa tub, sauna and steam bath. The eforea concept is among the world’s top brands, both from a treatment menu point of view, as well retail wise, with products from Kerstin Florian products, made from natural resources, and a line of men’s spa grooming products from Australia’s VitaMan. The spa offers three customized programs dubbed the essentials journey, the escape journey and the men’s journey, according to a press release.

The hotel, located in a green area of the Oradea and on the bank of a river is also within walking distance of the town center. DoubleTree by Hilton Oradea also features high-speed Internet access, self-parking and is pet friendly. The new location is also integrated in the Hilton HHonors guest loyalty program and of course, in true DoubleTree by Hilton tradition, guests are treated to a warm chocolate chip cookie upon arrival.

The hotel is home to Laurus, a contemporary restaurant serving Mediterranean cuisine and a selection of international and local wines. Onsite Café Cris Lounge & Bar also offers light snacks. In-room dining is also available at DoubleTree by Hilton Oradea.

Guest rooms feature cable TV with premium channels, complimentary high-speed Internet access and a mini-bar. Suites come equipped with separate living areas furnished with sofa beds, a mini-bar and 32-inch LCD flat-screens with satellite TV. Accessible rooms are also available onsite.
