Maplewood Senior Living has broken ground on Maplewood at Southport, a 98-unit assisted living and memory care community in Fairfield, Conn. The project is scheduled for completion in 2019.
Located on a 27-acre site purchased by Maplewood, the senior living community will include 93,000 square feet and will provide 10 acres of natural landscape. The development will offer an open, display dining room featuring farm to-table fare, a salon and spa, a library, a pub and a bistro.
Regional team
“Maplewood Senior Living is known for its unmatched design and care model standards and we look forward to providing those same exceptional services and amenities for our future Southport residents,” said Gregory Smith, president & CEO of Maplewood Senior Living, in a prepared statement.
Committed to investing locally, Maplewood assembled a team of regionally based companies. Stein Troost Architecture is behind the design of the building, along with, Milone & McBroom as the landscape architects, Landtech as the civil engineers and KBE Building Corp. as the construction manager.
In August, Maplewood Senior Living launched Mill Hill Residence, a full-service continuing care retirement community in Cape Cod.Â
