scenic residencesFort Worth, Texas—Criterion Property Company LP has launched construction on The Scenic Residences at River East, the first new multifamily development in Fort Worth’s revivifying River East enclave. The 276-unit Class A multifamily adjacent to Riverside Park will offer residents a captivating view of both the Trinity River and downtown.

The community features a mix of studios, one- and two-bedroom residences, as well as exclusive two-story townhouse residences and boutique manor houses offering custom finish packages in a distinctive urban residential living experience.

The Scenic’s modern architectural style takes into account the surrounding neighborhoods. The landscape design generates a walkable urban neighborhood sensibility, embracing the natural setting, bluffs, rock outcroppings and existing trees and deftly melding with the pedestrian realm at public streets.

A linear park linking Embrey Place to Bird Street is also part of the development.

Among residential amenities is a generous-sized pool and sundeck peppered with preserved heritage trees, cabanas, lounge areas and in-water chaise chairs. A programmed indoor-outdoor pavilion offering a lounge area, wet bar, flat-screen TV and games also calls to residents’ desire for sumptuous recreational areas.

Residents will enjoy the conveniences of a postal center with automated parcel kiosk system, fitness center, secure bike storage and third-floor club room with co-working area, social lounge and terrace overlooking downtown and the Trinity River.

Other outdoor amenities include a grilling kitchen, large fenced pet park, fenced yards for most of the first-floor residences, community gardening plots, dispersed pocket parks dotting the grounds and a connected trail system through the community’s grounds.

“It’s exciting to introduce a new generation of residents to the wonderful assets these established neighborhoods just east of downtown have to offer,” said Brandon Hancock, Criterion’s development manager for Texas. “With The Scenic development, these new residents of River East will experience an authentic urban lifestyle with access to local shops, restaurants, markets and parks. And it is only going to get better with the pedestrian and bike-friendly improvements coming to nearby Race Street by the time our first residents are moving in.”
