Crescent Opens Tampa Community

CP Capital US and Truist provided project financing.

NOVEL Independence Park is now leasing in Tampa’s Westshore District.

With three five-story buildings, developer Crescent Communities aims to combine recreation and relaxation for its residents.

The 277-unit community at 4108 George Road by Crescent Communities is near Davis Beach, Rocky Point Golf Course and numerous premier shopping and entertainment destinations.

The project’s lenders were CP Capital US and Truist. Architecture firm Dwell Design Studio, civil engineer Haiff Associates, landscape architect LandDesign, interior designer Vignette Interior Design and general contractor CBG Construction were also part of the development.

“Crescent Communities has long been invested in the Tampa MSA, with five legacy and three currently leasing multifamily communities, and we continue to see incredible opportunity in the market,” Crescent’s Director of Development for Florida Ricky De Camps told Multi-Housing News.

“Tampa’s strong job growth and exceptional quality of life make it an ideal location for our communities. Westshore, in particular, offers unmatched connectivity and energy, attracting top employers, retail destinations and entertainment while maintaining easy access to the outdoors and waterfront.”

DeCamps said the area’s economic strength and lifestyle appeal matches the company’s strategy of creating communities that “enhance the way people live, work, and play.”

The studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom residences include sleek stainless-steel appliances, full-size washers and dryers, and chic, modern finishes.

For amenities, residents have a saltwater swimming pool and cabanas, an outdoor grilling area and firepit, a fitness center complete with a corresponding flex studio for yoga and spin classes, an elevated sky deck and resident clubroom, a pickleball court, indoor and outdoor coworking spaces, a shaded dog park and a pedestrian nature trail.

The property is also near a large Class A office hub, including employers JP Morgan Chase, Bristol Myers Squibb and AIG.

In January, Crescent Communities purchased land and began developing RENDER Manchester Farm, a 309-unit development in Murfreesboro, Tenn. It’s the ninth investment in the greater Nashville market for the firm. The first homes will be delivered in summer 2026.
