Crescent Communities Launches 9th Nashville Property

RENDER Manchester Farm will be located about 30 miles from downtown.

Crescent Communities has expanded its presence in the Nashville, Tenn., region with the acquisition of land and beginning of construction of RENDER Manchester Farm, a 309-unit development in Murfreesboro, Tenn. This marks the firm’s ninth investment in the greater Nashville market and is expected to deliver its first homes in summer 2026.

Located on a 35-acre farm, RENDER Manchester Farm will embrace a refined rural lifestyle and offer residents a homestead experience including a farm, garden and fully stocked toolshed. The three-story, garden-style community will include a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom residences across seven buildings. Community amenities will feature a pool, grills and a smoker, resident clubhouse with front-porch swings, fire pit and picnic tables, dog park, fitness center and yoga studio.

Crescent Communities Construction will serve as the development’s general contractor. Financial partners include ParkProperty Capital providing equity and BOK Financial and Cadence Bank as the lenders.

Murfreesboro is located 30 miles south of Nashville with proximity to major employment hubs including Amazon, General Mills, Middle Tennessee State University and Nissan. Dwell Design Studio is the architect for the project and Edge is the landscape architect. Huddleston-Steel Engineering will serve as civil engineer.

Building the RENDER brand

Crescent’s RENDER brand focuses on developing best-in-class suburban multifamily communities with local character. In October, Crescent acquired the site for RENDER Douglasville, a 300-unit apartment project in Douglasville, Ga., that will be the company’s fourth RENDER-branded property in metro Atlanta. That project is expected to deliver in early 2026.

Crescent began developing the first RENDER-branded property in January 2022 in a joint venture with CP Capital US. Known as RENDER Covington, the 315-unit property was also the first RENDER project in the Atlanta market.

More Crescent growth

Last week, Crescent closed on land for NOVEL Uhill, a 400-unit multifamily development in the University Hill Neighborhood of Durham, N.C. The 6.5-acre project is slated for completion in 2026. Plans call for studios, one-, two- and three-bedroom units, along with 19 freestanding two- and three-bedroom townhouses.

In October, the company completed NOVEL Val Vista, a 317-unit luxury rental property in Gilbert, Ariz. The property has three four-story buildings with studio, one- and two-bedroom floorplans. The community is about 30 miles from downtown Phoenix and less than 7 miles from downtown Gilbert.

Other Crescent properties in the Nashville region include Cortlandt West Nashville, which was previously known as NOVEL West Nashville; Marq Music Row, formerly NOVEL Music Row; The Sawyer at One Bellevue Place, previously known as NOVEL Bellevue Place; and Heartwood at Lockwood Glen, formerly NOVEL Lockwood Glen.

Crescent’s multifamily pipeline includes 15,300 multifamily and single-family build-to-rent units. The national real estate investor, developer and operator has $7.2 billion of residential and commercial investments and developments in various stages of construction, operations and planning, including 58,000 square feet of retail space.
