Corvias Campus Living Announces Two Key Appointments

East Greenwich, R.I.—Corvias Group, a privately owned, vertically integrated real estate solutions group, announced that it has hired Jennifer Dilley as vice president of student affairs and Ronald LaPorte as vice president of business development of Corvias Campus Living, the company’s student housing division.

As vice president of student affairs, Dilley will manage all aspects of student affairs for Corvias Campus Living. She will partner with university leadership in creating and executing a full student life program to improve University recruitment and retention efforts, as well as help develop services that support the University mission and provide students with a vibrant living-learning environment that supports student success.

Dilley previously served as vice president of campus life at the Academy of Art University for Campus Living Villages. She transformed the University’s Department of Residential Life and Housing resulting in a 20 percent increase in residential occupancy. She went on to create a new division of Campus Life at the University, which consisted of the Departments of Residential Life and Housing, Orientation, Leadership, Recreation and Wellness, Parent and Family Services, as well as Career and Entrepreneurial Development. Dilley holds a bachelor’s degree from Winona State University, as well as a master’s degree in Education and Human Development with a concentration in Higher Education Administration from The George Washington University.

As a vice president of business development, LaPorte will be responsible for leading business development initiatives in the student housing market, including researching and recommending potential strategic partnerships. He will coordinate all phases of the new business development process, including site selection, market analysis, finance, construction and leasing.

LaPorte’s career in architecture and project management features work for an extensive list of higher education clients and includes project experience ranging from academic buildings to dining and athletic facilities, performance art spaces and residential projects. Prior to joining Corvias, LaPorte managed multiple business lines, including Higher Education, at Bergmann Associates, and was the national Managing Director of Engineering Solutions for ARAMARK Higher Education. LaPorte received a bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects, Society for College and University Planning and the Association of Physical Plant Administrators. In addition, LaPorte is a licensed Architect, certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards and is a LEED Accredited Professional.
