Construction Begins on The Picerne Group’s 198-Unit Multifamily Development in Cerritos, Calif.
The Picerne Group has announced that it has broken ground on its latest development, Aria. The Class A 198-unit residential community will be located at the cross streets of Bloomfield Avenue and Artesia Boulevard across the street from the Cerritos Towne Center.

Cerritos, Calif.—The Picerne Group has announced that it has broken ground on its latest development, Aria. The Class A 198-unit residential community will be located at the cross streets of Bloomfield Avenue and Artesia Boulevard across the street from the Cerritos Towne Center.
The community was designed by Orange, Calif.-based Architects Orange, which has completed a number of different multifamily and mixed-use communities—among other types of projects—in the surrounding Los Angeles and Orange County area.
With construction underway, The Picerne Group is expecting the project to be completed by the end of 2015 with a lease-up starting sometime in the middle of that year.
“First and foremost, one of the best things about this project, it is the first new multifamily project in Cerritos to be approved in more than 40 years,” says Brad Perozzi, managing director of Southern California development for The Picerne Group. “In addition, it’s adjacent to the Town Center. This great infill site is close to thousands of jobs and within walking distance to really great retail, dining and employment opportunities. This is one of those rare gem opportunities that developers die for.”
The community will comprise studio, one- and two-bedroom floor plans with top-floor penthouses that will include loft space. The building itself will rise four stories and will host an assortment of modern amenities. Outdoor amenities include a deck with junior Olympic swimming pool and spa, poolside cabanas and seating areas, and an outdoor fireplace. Inside, residents will have access to a state-of-the-art fitness center, with fitness on demand, as well as a lounge with a catering-style kitchen, gaming tables, billiards and a business center.
