Compass Acquisition Partners has named Lynn Owen as the company’s new chief executive officer. Bringing more than three decades of real estate management experience, Owen will be in charge of expanding Compass’ investment platform by including private equity real estate joint ventures and institutional capital partners with a target of investing approximately $500 million during the next 12 months.

Before joining Compass, Owen was chief operations officer at TruAmerica Multifamily for roughly five years, where she oversaw all asset and construction management and portfolio operations functions. Prior to that, she was a principal with Glacier Real Estate Services, a company Greystar acquired in 2010.

Since its founding in 2009, Compass Acquisition Partners has built a $1.2 billion portfolio of multifamily and retail assets in several markets along the West Coast, Colorado and Wyoming. Most recently, the company sold Arbor Woods Apartments, a 63-unit Class B community south of Seattle, for roughly $10 million to Madison Residential.
