Common Tapped to Manage San Diego Community
The property will be the first in the area to provide all-inclusive co-living units.

Multifamily property manager Common has been tapped to manage Parco, a rental community situated in the San Diego-area municipality of National City, Calif.
Featuring an address near the intersection of 8th and B in downtown, the 127-unit Parco delivers a mix of housing types. It will be the first building in the San Diego area to provide all-inclusive co-living units at institutional scale. Parco is slated to open this summer, offering monthly rents starting at just under $1,000.
Parco was developed by Malick Infill Development and Protea Properties. The designer was The Miller Hull Partnership LLP and construction was handled by Cannon Constructors.
Property Features
Parco will feature a blend of furnished and unfurnished studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments and townhomes. Also featured will be three- and four-bedroom rowhomes. The three- and four-bedroom units will be offered as all-inclusive co-living units.
As at all Common buildings, co-living and furnished studio rents at Parco include utilities, basic household supplies, high-speed wi-fi and weekly cleanings. Also offered to all Parco renters will be Connect by Common, a proprietary technology that makes available online payments, roommate communication and community event RSVPs.
Among the common-area amenities of Parco is a rooftop area with 360-degree mountain and bay views. The community also features ground-floor commercial spaces currently being offered for lease, meaning residents will be able to access in-building service businesses and restaurants, among other enterprises.
Located at the Mexican border in the South Bay area of San Diego County, National City had a population of 61,121 as of 2019. Having been established in 1887, National City is the second oldest city in San Diego County. The city is known for attractions that include Victorian architecture and historic sites.
