Class A Community Breaks Ground in Tampa
The Altman Cos. started construction of Altís Grand Central, a 314-unit apartment community in Tampa. The development aims to achieve LEED certification.

The Altman Cos., together with Mattoni Group, have broken ground on Altís Grand Central, a 314-unit class A residential development in Tampa. The apartment community is scheduled to open in early 2019.
Located at 504 Grand Central Ave., the eight-story development will be located directly across the street from Oxford Exchange, which offers various dining, shopping and entertainment options, as well as a Commerce Club, a shared-work environment. Additionally, the University of Tampa is within walking distance of the property.
Altís Grand Central will comprise a mix of studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom units, ranging from 619 to 1,380 square feet and featuring private balconies. The development aims to achieve sustainability and is poised to obtain LEED certification. Community amenities include:

- sun deck and spa
- rooftop lounge and pool
- barbecue area
- clubroom with gaming area
- bicycle storage
- dog park and spa
“Residents of Altís Grand Central will be part of the Grand Central District, the most unique and vibrant neighborhood in Tampa,” said Joel Altman, chairman of The Altman Cos., in prepared remarks. “They will be a part of Tampa’s cosmopolitan experiences just steps from work or a brief walk or bus ride to downtown at two of the city’s finest institutions.”
