Miami, Fla.—Cikel America has introduced the Statesmen Collection, a new line of exotic Brazilian hardwood flooring that is 100 percent Forest Stewardship Council (FCS) certified. The wood is offered in two species of Brazilian Hard Birch and Brazilian Cherry Light in five different colors.
The Statesman Collection is geared towards residential or light commercial interiors with traditional or contemporary design settings. The flooring, which comes backed with a 25-year wear-layer warranty, is offered in a 3-1/4 inch face-width at a thickness of ¾ inches in random lengths ranging from 1 to 7 feet. Finishing touches include micro-beveled edges, tongue-and-groove construction, and a 55 gloss sheen and multi-layered aluminum oxide top coat.
The FSC chain of custody (FSC-CoC) certification tracks the wood from the forest to the consumer, ensuring the product is responsibly harvested from verified sources. Cikel has 1.2 million acres of privately owned and FSC managed forests in Brazil. Available colors include Kennedy Hyannis Sand, Lincoln Springfield Night, Napoleon Brittany Saddle, Churchill Cuban Brown and Jackson Tennessee Honey.
