CBRE Names Vice Chairman in Nashville
K.O. Kennedy has 22 years of experience in mortgage banking, with a focus on permanent and structured finance.
CBRE has promoted K.O. Kennedy from executive vice president to vice chairman, the highest-ranking position among the firm’s producers. Kennedy has been with the firm since 2006, when he opened the Nashville office and started the local Debt and Structured Finance group. His expertise focuses on permanent and structured finance, including construction lending and equity raises, being a direct lender of Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae and FHA.
Kennedy has an experience of 22 years in mortgage banking, the last 14 of which he spent with CBRE. During his tenure, he secured transaction financing in excess of $11 billion. Under his and Scott Brady’s leadership, the Nashville Debt and Structured Finance team has annually produced finance deals valued at more than $1 billion.
Kennedy’s prior position was with Laureate Capital, where he began his mortgage banking career in 1997. During his nine years of service, he specialized in commercial real estate finance production, analysis and financial underwriting.
