Świnoujscie, Poland—Carlson Rezidor, one of the largest hotel companies in the world, is adding two new hotels to its portfolio of properties in Poland. The Radisson Blu Resort, Świnoujscie and and the Radisson Blu Hotel & Residences, Zakopane are both scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2016.

The Radisson Blu Resort, Świnoujscie will be a five-star hotel, located in the Polish city of Świnoujscie, on the shores of the Baltic Sea. Almost all of its 340 guest rooms and suites will have their own balconies and will offer views of the sea. Amenities include two restaurants, a lobby bar, a café on the 14th floor, an infinity edge pool on the rooftop, free Wi-Fi, a gym, fitness area and even a club with bowling. The hotel will also feature an almost 11,000-square-foot ballroom, dividable into smaller conference rooms.

”We already have six independent premium hotels on the Polish coast and in the mountains, but we are sure that the Radisson Blu Resort, Świnoujście will be our best offer due to its modern design and the brand’s expertise,” Jan Wróblewski, board member of the hotel’s owner and developer Zdrojowa Invest, says.

Carlson Rezidor did not disclose the construction cost of the Radisson Blu Resort, Świnoujscie. It did say, however, that the project will be financed with funds from the EU, through the Joint European Support for Sustainable Investment in City Areas initiative.

Unlike the Radisson Blu Resort, Świnoujscie, which is located in northeastern Poland, close to the German border, the Radisson Blu Hotel & Residences, Zakopane will have no access to the sea. In fact, it will be located on the other side of the country, in Zakopane, a well-known Polish resort in the Carpathian mountains, about 62 miles from Krakow. The hotel will feature 158 guest rooms and 68 apartments in a separate part of the complex. The two parts will be linked via a fully integrated walkway.

Hotel amenities include two restaurants, three bars, a large, 13,000-square-foot wellness & spa centre, an indoor pool, saunas and steam baths. Business travelers will also have access to a state-of-the-art meeting area, with about 3,800 square feet of conference space and a more than 4,000-square-foot ballroom.

”Radisson Blu is Europe’s largest upper upscale brand, and we are delighted to further strengthen its presence in Poland together with established national partners,” Wolfgang M. Neumann, president & CEO of Rezidor, says. ”Both new hotels will be great additions to our growing portfolio of stylish and contemporary Radisson Blu resorts in Europe, the Middle East and Africa”, added Neumann.

Carlson Rezidor is headquartered in Minneapolis, Minn., and Brussels, Belgium. With the opening of the Radisson Blu Resort, Świnoujscie and and the Radisson Blu Hotel & Residences, Zakopane, the company’s Polish portfolio will feature 10 hotels and 2,400 rooms.
