Capitol Seniors Housing has opened Stone Hill at Andover, a 96-unit senior housing community providing independent living, assisted living, and memory care in a northern suburb of Boston. The 81,500-square-foot community at 141 Elm St. in Andover, Mass., is operated by The Northbridge Cos.

The facility designed by Meyer Senior Living Studio draws on the architectural styles of the surrounding town as well as Cape Cod and features an art gallery on two floors to showcase local artwork. Amenities include an activity room, bistro, courtyard, fitness room, salon and theater.

The property is located just off Interstate 495, less than a mile from historic downtown Andover. In addition to independent living and assisted living, the community offers a specialized program dedicated to Alzheimer’s disease and dementia care. Northbridge Cos. provides a holistic approach for residents dubbed the STAR Club, which ranges from body works and intellectual stimulation to travel and adventure programming.

Formed in 2003, Capitol Seniors Housing has partnered with The Carlyle Group and Bain Capital to acquire or develop more than 90 senior housing communities and deploy more than $2.2 billion of investment capital. In January, the company broke ground on Atria New City, a three-story assisted living and memory care community in Clarkstown, N.Y. The $30 million project features 80 residential suites.
