Campus Advantage Taps New Operations VP
Bringing 23 years of student housing experience, David Timmerman will oversee many of the company’s third-party management contracts.
Campus Advantage has hired David Timmerman as its vice president of operations. In his new role, Timmerman, a veteran of more than 23 years of experience in the student housing industry, will be responsible for overseeing a number of the company’s third-party managed student housing properties.
Timmerman began his career with 12 years at Century Campus Housing Management of Houston. Afterwards, he moved to a leadership role as assistant vice president of operations with Campus Living Villages. Five years later, Timmerman landed the role of regional manager with American Campus Communities. Most recently, he served as the regional vice president with Asset Campus Housing, a position he held for just over three years. Timmerman holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Texas A&M University and a Master’s Degree in Student Personnel in Higher Education from the University of Georgia.
“David’s experience in operations management, along with his strong leadership skills, makes him a perfect fit for the role of Vice President of Operations,” said Mike Peter, president & CEO of Campus Advantage, in a prepared statement. “I have no doubt that David will greatly serve Campus Advantage and help us continue to maintain and enhance the level of service we provide our clients.”
In 2017, Campus Advantage was contracted to manage a number of new student housing developments in Texas and New Mexico.
