Campus Advantage has been selected to manage Midtown Sam Houston, a recently constructed, 384-bed student housing community in Huntsville, Texas. The property sold earlier this month to a private investor, who financed the acquisition with a $15.4 million Fannie Mae loan secured by Walker & Dunlop, according to Walker County public records.

Located at 2821 Lake Road, the 10-building community is situated within one mile of Sam Houston State University. The property sits near Interstate 45 and is in an area containing a number of other student-targeted communities. Midtown Sam Houston’s beds are spread across a mix of two- and four-bedroom units. Community amenities include complimentary Wi-Fi, washers and dryers in each apartment, a clubhouse, a 24-hour fitness center, a swimming pool and one parking space for each resident. Additionally, each unit is fully furnished and pet-friendly.

“We are confident that our operations excellence, integrated marketing capability and programming will make a positive impact on this property and market,” said Mike Peter, president & CEO of Campus Advantage, in a prepared statement.

The firm has been significantly expanding its portfolio, having been tapped to manage a number of student communities in the region over the past year—including two student housing properties under construction in the Dallas and Austin areas.
