CA Senior Living Breaks Ground in AZ
The $25 million Quail Park in Oro Valley includes 101 units, with a portion dedicated to assisted living, and the $32 million Quail Park at Morrison Ranch includes 83 assisted living units and 32 memory care suites.
CA Senior Living, the senior housing investment and development division of CA Ventures, broke ground on two senior housing communities in Arizona: Quail Park in Oro Valley and Quail Park at Morrison Ranch in Gilbert. Living Care Lifestyles will operate both communities, which will each offer a mix of assisted living and memory care residences. The communities are scheduled for completion in summer 2018.
The 3-acre Quail Park of Oro Valley is located at 9005 N. Oracle Road. The two-story community will offer 101 residences, with 69 of those dedicated to assisted living. Apartments are offered in studio, one- and two-bedroom floorplans ranging from 358 to 870 square feet. The remaining 32 residences will be available to those in need of memory care services. Designed by Harley Ellis Devereaux, the $25 million project will feature a flat roof and mixture of stucco and brink.
The 4.5-acre Quail Park at Morrison Ranch is located at 3333 E. Morrison Ranch Parkway. Also two stories, this community will offer 83 assisted living units and 32 memory care suites. Floor plans will come in a range of studio, one- and two-bedroom options. Created by the BKV Group, the $30 million building features a Farmhouse style with a large southern viewing tower.
Both communities are made with an H configuration that will house residences on either side of a central common area tailored to the residents. Shared amenities include multiple dining areas, a four-season room, salon, living room, theater, chapel, activity room, library, walking paths, gardens and a wellness suite with exam and therapy offices.
“As our pipeline continues to expand we are finding fantastic opportunities in markets across the country,” Ben Burke, president of CA Senior Living, told Multi-Housing News. “Phoenix and Tucson are currently lacking the contemporary senior lifestyle options that adult children are seeking for their parents. They want a place that feels like home; a place with all the creature comforts and social structure necessary to enjoy a fulfilling and rewarding life. That’s what we’re bringing to southern Arizona, and many other markets nationwide.”
CA Senior Living opened its first community in 2016 and has a portfolio of 11 communities currently operating or under construction, totaling 1,400 units. The Arizona communities will join 14 other properties that Living Care currently operates or has under construction across California, Texas, Oregon and Washington.
