Phoenix’s climate and attractive lifestyle is motivating developers to grow the local inventory of luxury multifamily properties. A recent case in point: the $35 million development in Chandler planned by Scottsdale-based Butte Cos. The proposed 222-unit project would rise on a 10-acre parcel on McClintock Drive, just north of Chandler Blvd., the Phoenix Business Journal reports.

Currently in the midst of the entitlement process, the project is subject to modifications before groundbreaking, which is tentatively scheduled for October. Butte has retained Todd & Associates as architect and tapped MT Builders as contractor. Lawrence Lake Interiors is designing the building’s interiors.

Planned amenities include a  wine bar, a private dog park a putting green and a coffee house equipped with Wi-Fi access, the Business Journal reports. Butte Companies initiated the Chandler project after the success of the Landmark at Kierland, a high-end multi-family property in Scottsdale. That complex features green design, low-flow water fixtures, fitness facilities and energy-efficient windows.
